Chimpanzee Charm
Chimpanzee DNA and human DNA differs by only 1.6 percent. Scientists estimate that we have been separate species for only about 4 million years. In physical structures such as the hands, internal structures like the nervous system, and in other areas such as the immune system, the similarities are astonishing. Behaviorally, too, many gestures wild chimpanzees make seem very human. Sadly, the chimpanzee is yet another endangered species and that means that a portion of this sale will be donated to the World Wildlife Federation. This almost human charm measures 3/4" X 3/8" and weighs 2.7 grams.

Elephant Charm
This is a fabulous looking elephant charm. Elephants are capable of eating 300 to 400 pounds of vegetation, and drinking 80 gallons of water every day. At one time there were over 600 species of elephants roaming the earth! These wonderful creatures sadly top the list of our endangered species charms, so, we will be donating a portion of every elephant charm sale to the WWF. This pachyderm charm measures 3/8" X 5/8" and weighs 2.5 grams.

Tree Frog Charm
This beautiful tree frog charm is extremely life like. It looks as if we caught it in mid leap. This charm would make a great addition to an all animal charm bracelet. As the wetlands shrink so do the number of tree frogs. Many varieties of frogs are becoming endangered at an alarming rate and that means that a portion of this sale will be donated to the World Wildlife Federation. This delightful amphibian measures 1" X 1/2" and weighs 3.1 grams.

Gecko / Iguana Charm
This is an extremely large and detailed gecko charm. Geckos are known for their consumption of insects and their loud chirping vocalizations. This one is quiet but we wouldn't hang a mosquito charm next to it. The mosquito may turn up missing and the gecko may have a great big satisfied grin on its face! This realistic charm measures 1 3/8" X 3/4" and weighs 3.5 grams.

Lowlands Gorilla Charm
This silverback lowlands gorilla charm would make a wonderful addition to any bracelet. These incredible primates are almost extinct because we have limited their natural habitat to a few small square miles. Hippo Charm
Another endangered species charm from Old And In The Way, and that means that a portion of this sale will be donated to the World Wildlife Federation. Hippos are amazing creatures....large and sort of clumsy looking on land, but put them in water and they swim fast and can also walk along the bottoms of rivers. They are the largest nonruminating, even toed, hoofed mammals. Or, in our language....they are mighty large vegetarian beasts! This wonderful charm would look great on any bracelet. Howler Monkey Charm
Howler monkeys live in South and Central American rainforests. They are noted for their roaring cries that can be heard over a distance of 2 to 3 miles. These loud creatures live in the canopy of the rainforest and feed primarily on leaves. For this reason they are difficult to maintain in captivity and due to the shrinking of their habitat, they are in our endangered species category. A portion of the sales of this detailed charm will be donated to the WWF. That would be the World WildLife Federation, not those wrasslers on TV!! This long-tailed charm measures 3/4" X 5/8" and weighs 3.8 grams.

Three Monkeys Charm
These three monkeys portray that famous mob adage: Hear No Evil, See No Evil & Speak No Evil. There are actually three charms on one ring that make up this piece. This is a great charm that makes everyone giggle just a little when they see it. Three Back To Back Monkeys Charm
Another version of that mob related adage "See No Evil, Hear No Evil, and Speak No Evil." This large charm features these three simians back to back and miming their part of the saying. Rhino Charm
Rhinos are notoriously near sighted and bad tempered. Not a particularly good combination if you should happen to meet one. If you love animals or if you just have an affinity for nearsighted, bad tempered things, then you should get one of these and display it proudly. The Rhino is, unfortunately, another endangered species that means that a portion of this sale will be donated to the World Wildlife Federation. This is a sterling replica of those graceful vegetarians of the veldt...the giraffe. This long necked beauty is part of our WWF donation program.
